SENIOR MINISTER
Craig Roberts
Craig joined us as Associate Minister in 2001 and became our Senior Minister in 2003. Previously, he worked for 10 years as a Chartered Accountant and corporate recovery expert. Craig is married to Libby; they have two children, Harry and Sophie. Craig will watch almost any televised sporting event, but plays touch footy, drinks good coffee & cold beer, and is convinced that the Christian life stacks up in your head and in your heart. He is looking forward to getting to heaven and helping as many people as possible join him there.
Craig can be contacted on 9908 2110, 040 9908 211 or revchoc@neutralbayanglican.org.au
Assistant Minister
David Ould
David joins us in 2008 as Assistant Minister. He grew up in England and worked as a Chartered Accountant in London for 7 years but, like Craig, gave that up all that excitement for something even better! David is married to Jacqui who is from Singapore and they have three children; Charis, Ethan and one more on the way. David became a Christian whilst studying in America and has worked in churches in England, Singapore and Australia. He has discovered that Jesus is equally relevant and vital in all those cultures and more.
David can be contacted on 0425 362598 or david.ould@neutralbayanglican.org.au
WOMEN'S MINISTER
Ruth Muffett
Ruth joins us at Neutral Bay as our part-time Women's Worker. Ruth is married to John and they have two children Ashley (7) and Lachlan (3). Ruth loves family life, a good laugh and having a coffee with friends. When she's not in Neutral Bay, you might find her playing with her kids in Centennial Park, behind a camera or enjoying a good movie.
Her real passion though is helping people come to know the Lord Jesus and to grow to become like him. She aims to open the Bible with women so that they might depend on God to meet all their needs in and through Christ.
Ruth will be working with us mainly on Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays, though you can feel free to contact her outside those times on 0412 896 328 or ruthmuffett@sydney.anglican.asn.au
STUDENT MINISTERS
Tania Sinclair
Tania is in her 4th and final year at Moore Theological college. In a previous life she completed a Bachelor of Psychology and worked as a dance teacher (not that the two are especially related!). She loves live music and theatre, all types of dancing, sitting in cafes talking to people and going to the beach.
Before going to study at Moore college she worked at Northmead Anglican church for 2 years as a trainee. Doing that helped her to see that telling people about Jesus and seeing people's faith grow is a privilege and that if possible, it would be great to do all the time.
She is looking forward to sharing life and Jesus with the people of St Augustine's.
Chris Spark
Chris is passionate about a number of things. He is passionate about music, particularly drumming, which was his job before he started the studies for ministry which he is now doing.
He becomes increasingly passionate about his native New Zealand at times of major international sporting events, although he wouldn't dare mention this while he is in Australia.
He is especially passionate about his beautiful wife Sarah and his sweet little girls Esther and Lucy.
But most of all, he is passionate about the Lord Jesus being seen for whom he is, and about people coming to know the wonder of having Jesus set them free from sin and guilt and death.
Sturt Young
Sturt Young is married to Emma and they have one son, Brynach (Bryn for short) born in December 04. We are starting our 2nd year at Moore College in 2006 and our first year serving at Neutral Bay, both of which we are greatly looking forward to. Sturt has spent 10 years in the IT industry and Emma is a High School Visual Arts Teacher, although full-time mum at the moment.
Sturt loves his coffee, mixed with a bit of blues and jazz, both listening and playing on the guitar. He also loves speaking to people about Jesus and is looking forward to completing 3 more years of study so he can do this full-time. Emma loves her art-making and is looking forward to some more time to do this as Bryn has kept her pretty busy this year. Em is preparing to study part-time over the coming years and is looking forward to moving in to Newtown and being a part of the Moore college community.
Sturt can be contacted on sturtsa@sturtsa.com
Churchwardens, treasurer and secretary
Mark Edmonds, Michael Stewart and Grant Millard are three parishioners who fill an important role. They are responsible for finances and buildings and assist the ministry team in many ways.
Churchwardens are elected (2) and appointed (1) at the church's annual business meeting. Col Bartrim is the treasurer, who keeps the books for the churchwardens.
Volunteers
Our church could not function without the help of all the members who volunteer to do many things. These include teaching the Bible in the local primary school, staffing the church office, cleaning the church building, maintaining the buildings and grounds, serving in Gus's Group Sunday School and the creche.
